Every heat pump installation involves refrigerant line sizing, electrical load assessment, defrost cycle configuration for local climate conditions, and often integration with an existing gas furnace for hybrid dual-fuel operation. Many projects also require ductwork modifications or a complete ductless system design with multiple indoor heads. We size every heat pump to the home's actual heating and cooling load, configure it for Vancouver's climate profile, and commission it to manufacturer specifications.

We are BBB A+ rated, Technical Safety BC licensed, and the only authorized Trane dealer in Coquitlam, with over 20 years of HVAC installation experience across Greater Vancouver. Our 400+ five-star Google reviews and 4.9 average rating reflect consistently professional installation work.

Our Heat Pump Installation Process

The first step is a free in-home assessment of your current HVAC system, ductwork, electrical panel capacity, and heating and cooling needs. For homeowners with an existing gas furnace in good condition, a hybrid dual-fuel setup allows the heat pump to handle the majority of heating at high efficiency while the furnace provides backup during the coldest stretches. For homes without ductwork, we design ductless mini-split systems with individually controlled zones. On installation day, we set the outdoor unit on a proper base, run refrigerant and electrical lines, and install indoor air handlers or connect to existing ductwork. We charge the system to manufacturer specifications and configure controls including defrost settings for our local climate. We handle all permits, register factory warranties, and provide ongoing heat pump repair and service to protect your investment. Most installations are completed in one to two days.

Request Your Free Heat Pump Installation Quote

Call (604) 535-8434 or complete the form below for a free heat pump installation estimate anywhere in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. We walk you through system options and financing so you can make the best decision for your home.

What type of heat pump is best for my Vancouver home?

It depends on your current setup. If you have a ducted furnace system, a central ducted heat pump or hybrid dual-fuel system is typically the best fit. If your home has no ductwork, a ductless mini-split system provides efficient heating and cooling without renovation. We evaluate your home during the free assessment and recommend the best option for your situation.

Are there rebates available for heat pump installation?

Rebate programs for heat pump installations change frequently. At the time of your estimate, we will outline any provincial or utility incentives that are currently available and help with the paperwork. Visit our rebates page for the latest information on what programs are active.

Can a heat pump replace my furnace entirely?

Modern cold-climate heat pumps can handle Vancouver's winters as the sole heating source in most homes. However, many homeowners prefer a hybrid dual-fuel setup that pairs the heat pump with an existing gas furnace for backup during the coldest days. This provides the efficiency of a heat pump for 90 percent of the year with the peace of mind of gas backup. We discuss both approaches during your free assessment.

Can I finance a heat pump installation?

Yes. We offer flexible financing through Financeit with terms from 12 to 60 months and 0 percent interest options available. Approval is quick and completed online during your estimate appointment.
