New high-efficiency air conditioner replacing an older outdoor unit

The most common AC installation mistake is incorrect sizing. An oversized unit short-cycles, fails to remove humidity, and wears out years early. An undersized unit runs constantly and never reaches temperature on the hottest days. We perform manual load calculations on every project, factoring in square footage, insulation, window exposure, and ductwork capacity. The indoor evaporator coil is matched to the outdoor condenser for peak efficiency.

As the only authorized Trane dealer in Coquitlam, we offer Trane's full lineup alongside Lennox, Carrier, Goodman, and Rheem. We are BBB A+ rated, Technical Safety BC licensed, and backed by 400+ five-star Google reviews with a 4.9 average rating across over 20 years of installations throughout Greater Vancouver.

Our AC Installation Process

Every project begins with a free in-home assessment covering your current system, ductwork, electrical supply, and cooling needs. We present equipment options at different efficiency levels and price points and answer your questions without pressure. On installation day, we remove the old unit, install and connect the new condenser and evaporator coil, verify refrigerant charge and electrical connections, test airflow at every register, and program your thermostat. Factory warranties are registered and the work area is left clean. Most replacements are completed in a single day. For homes without existing ductwork, we install ductless mini-split systems with individually controlled zones, providing efficient cooling room by room without the cost of adding ducts. For homeowners who also want heating from the same system, we install heat pumps that provide both cooling and heating year-round.

Request Your Free AC Replacement Quote

Call (604) 535-8434 or complete the form below for a free air conditioner replacement estimate anywhere in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. We help you compare repair versus replacement costs, system options, and financing so you can make the right decision.

How do I know when to replace my air conditioner?

Consider replacement if your AC is over 12 years old, still uses R-22 refrigerant, requires frequent or expensive repairs, or no longer cools your home adequately. Systems using R-22 deserve particular attention since the refrigerant is no longer manufactured and increasingly expensive. We provide a clear repair-versus-replace comparison with transparent pricing during your free estimate.

How long does an AC installation take?

Most standard air conditioner replacements are completed in one day, including removal of the old unit, installation, refrigerant charging, electrical connections, and system testing. First-time installations or ductless mini-split systems may take one to two days depending on the number of zones.

What size air conditioner does my home need?

Correct sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, window area, sun exposure, and layout. We perform a manual load calculation during our free assessment to determine the exact capacity your home needs. This prevents the common problems of oversizing, which causes short-cycling and poor humidity control, and undersizing, which leaves your home uncomfortable on the hottest days.

Can I finance a new air conditioner?

Yes. We offer flexible financing through Financeit with terms from 12 to 60 months and 0 percent interest options available on qualifying installations. Approval is quick and completed online during your estimate appointment.
